LEOPOLD EDUCATION PROJECT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMThe Northeastern Illinois Council of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, of which the Will-South Cook Soil and Water Conservation District is a member, is awarding scholarships in amounts up to $500, to students seeking a four-year degree in a Natural Resource field. Students must be high school seniors or graduates (diplomas or GED certificates), must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited four year college or university in a natural resource field, have a 3.0 grade point average or better (on a 4.0 scale), and permanently reside in one of the following counties: Boone, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, Will or Winnebago. Application forms are available on line, as well as at local high school guidance offices in Will and South Cook Counties and at the Will-South Cook Soil and Water Conservation District office, 1201 S. Gougar Rd., New Lenox, Illinois, or by calling (815) 462-3106, ext. 3. All original documents must be received by the Leopold Education Project Scholarship Program Administrator by April 1, 2003.
