Conservation Education ScholarshipsIn the spring of 2007, the Will-South Cook Soil and Water Conservation District will again be awarding up to three $1000.00 scholarships to Will-South Cook County students, who expect to major in agriculture or a natural resource field, at any accredited college or accredited school of higher learning. The purpose of the scholarships is to further the cause of soil, water and natural resources conservation by helping a deserving student pursue the subject at an advanced educational level. Application forms may be picked up at the local high school guidance offices in Will and South Cook Counties, and are also available at the District office located at 1201 S. Gougar Road, New Lenox, Illinois 60451. The application form may be picked up during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or the application can be sent by request by calling (815) 462-3106, extension 3. Application forms are also available on-line. DEADLINE: To be considered, the completed application form must be submitted by April 1, 2007. The letters of recommendation, which are to be sent directly to the District by their writers, must also be received by April 1, 2007. APPLICATION GUIDELINES
