Scholarship Opportunities

Will-South Cook SWCD Conservation Education Scholarships

bullet

Up to three scholarships for students who expect to major in agriculture or a natural resource field, at any accredited college or accredited school of higher learning.

Leopold Education Project Scholarship Program

bullet

Scholarships are awarded to students seeking a four-year degree in a Natural Resource field.

Other Agricultural or Natural Resource scholarships

bullet

The Will County Farm Bureau has information about Farm Bureau Scholarships and other scholarships that are available to college students.

Third-Grade Tree Seedlings

Each spring, the Will-South Cook SWCD distributes white pine seedlings to third grade classes in Will and South Cook Counties (if available). Seedlings are provided by the Illinois Departments of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Interested teachers need to contact the District Office in late winter/early spring for an order form at (815) 462-3106, Ext. 3.
